Mission Log 3: All About Time

Back on Earth, we wished for more hours in a day to spend with the people we love. Life on StarBase feels like we have all the time in the world, however, it is still 24-hour days on this planet as well. But that only means we have to make the most of the time we are given!

Things are getting busy around here. In fact, we've hit capacity a few times lately and had to turn people away. If you were one of them, we're so sorry that happened. But it is a great problem to get to solve and we are addressing it in these ways.

First, we have started praying for rain (so that everyone does not have to flee the atmosphere driving up demand for Starbase resources).

Second, we know that school is starting soon which should calm things down a bit, so be on the lookout for simple Toddler Activity Days and more Starlight Sessions during the upcoming weeks as we head into autumn.

Third, we have updated our capacity logic on how we do birthday parties...

...NEW PARTY CAPACITY UPDATE

Rather than limit party sizes by the number of kids, we have changed the capacity limits to be up to 35 people instead.

If you want the whole place to yourselves, just select the Private Party option on the Online Party Form for parties as large as 49 . The available times will now update based on the selections you make on the form.

We've been steadily improving our party booking system over the past few weeks. It's a homegrown StarBase creation, and we're trying to make it smart enough to handle the complicated stuff while keeping it simple for you. Let me know if you wanna talk web stuff.

CREW INTRODUCTIONS

We've been writing these mission logs for a while, so maybe it's time we introduced the people behind StarBase.

I'm Trey (T-Ray). I handle the website, write these things, obsess over marketing for businesses, and help make the big-picture decisions.

My wife, Kathryn, is the real-world artist (and guiding hand) behind what you see out there. She took the original idea and turned it into an actual place, right down—or rather, up—to the 30-foot mural featuring our two resident aliens, Glorpagorp and Ned.

Shout out to Lexie for helping bring those guys to life!

Kathryn also masterminded tomorrow's Alien Invasion Night, which starts at 4 PM.

Rachael is The Considerate Momma and a certified parent coach. She and her sister, Kathryn, are working on some really cool ways for parents and kids to build better connections, both through StarBase and through what they do every day.

And Rachael's husband, Jason, has managed, built, and owned many businesses in the Texas Panhandle over the last 30 years.

We're still trying to decide on his astronaut name.

We're open to suggestions.

Jason makes StarBase function, with Kathryn, and our extremely awesome, incredibly kind General Manager, Victoria, along with her incredible staff.
